‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this
reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be
seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the
annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra
and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the
Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai
Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic
crossing of the river and the preying on the
migrants by predators can be viewed from early July
to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since
dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot
air balloon safaris are readily available in this
park
Day 4: Mara- Lake Nakuru
Breakfast then depart the lodge as you view game and
drive to lake Nakuru national park to arrive in good

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its
flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found
here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of
the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions
of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance
the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also
earned a reputation as an important haven for
endangered species- particularly the Rothschild
Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions,
waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents
here
Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Arusha

Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara
Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake
Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems,
incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. Lake
Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions are another
reason to pay this park a visit. The only kind of
their species in the world, they make the ancient
mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the
rainy season, and are a well-known but rather rare
feature of the northern park. In addition to the
lions, the national park is also home to the largest
concentration of baboons anywhere in the world -- a
fact that makes for interesting game viewing of
large families of the primates
Day 7: Manyara- Serengeti
After breakfast depart for Serengeti passing through
Olduvai Gorge, the site of Leakey’s family discovery
of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back
to almost two million years. Meals and overnight at

Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Full day in Serengeti plains in search for wild game
you might have missed the previous game drive.
Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and
overnight at Seronera Camp
Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national
park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square
kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s
Masai Mara Game Park. It is the Migration for which
Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million
wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from
the northern hills to the southern plains for the
short rains every October and November, and then
swirl west and north after the long rains in April,
May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to
move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested
river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel
through a variety of parks, reserves and protected
areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to
explore the different forms of vegetation and
landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some
of their most fascinating inhabitants.
Day 9: Serengeti - Ngorongoro crater
We view game as we drive southeast up into the
magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation .Full afternoon
crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at
Simba/Nainokanoka Camp.
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole
volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the
most stunning arena. It is frequently described as
one of the wonders of the world, not only because of
its geological magnificence, but also because it
serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for
some of Africa’s largest populations of large
mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains
are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing
process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20
million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million
years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro
today
